About Me

I am a native Spanish speaker and a dynamic teacher. I have a bachelor’s degree in Spanish, as well as special education, and more than two decades of experience instructing individuals with various learning styles and abilities. I have also educated students, parents, and education professionals on learning disabilities, cultural transitioning, and acquisition of language skills within traditional, tutor-oriented, and lecture-based learning environments.

I am originally from Venezuela, where I served as an early childhood special education teacher. There, I gained the ability to recognize and implement intervention techniques that would be helpful to children learning a second language. I received my teaching license and a degree in Spanish, which allows me to teach Spanish to students in grades K-12.  Having gone through the process of learning a second language myself, I understand the associated challenges and am dedicated to providing students the right opportunities and atmosphere to learn Spanish through interactive and effective lessons that stimulate and maintain their interest.
