This year I will teach Spanish to grades K-8, with my first goal being to provide them with the necessary skills needed to understand Spanish. Students will also need to practice four skills, listening, speaking, reading, and writing. I developed lessons according to age and grade, all of them focusing on building the vocabulary and grammatical structures necessary to communicate in the Spanish-speaking world. We will do projects, skits, games, sing, dance, watch movies, and role play, giving students a sense of cultural differences between the United States and Spanish-speaking countries, while also helping build understanding of the Spanish language.
