5th -6th grade

Welcome to the 5th - 6th grade Spanish class.

I will present the students a basic introduction to the Spanish language. The first goal is for the students to understand there are different languages to communicate with other people and Spanish is one of them. I will encourage the groups to discuss why it is important to learn a different language.

I will begin with the alphabet and the pronunciation of each Spanish letter. After that, I will show them how to form and combine syllables to make words. As we learn basic and simple words I will incorporate helpful vocabulary presented with the themes in each lesson.
